04 · Frequently Asked Questions

MHFA Graduate FAQ.

Is my seat in training the same as certification?
No. Attending the live training alone does not necessarily complete the certification process. Learners must complete all assigned pre-work, instructor-led training, post-work, and other required course activities.
When will my certificate be available?
Your certificate should become available through the official MHFA platform after all required activities are marked complete.
Will WVW email my certificate to me?
WVW may send completion and congratulatory emails, but the official certificate is generally accessed through the MHFA learner platform.
How long is my certification valid?
Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid certifications are valid for three years. Official recertification information is provided by MHFA USA.
Can I use the WVW resource library instead of professional help?
No. WVW resources are educational tools. They are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, legal guidance, or emergency services.
Can I share the resources with coworkers?
Learners may share publicly designated resources, but they should not alter, resell, rebrand, or remove WVW attribution from copyrighted materials.
What should I do during an emergency?
Call 911 when there is immediate or life-threatening danger. In the United States, call or text 988 for crisis support.
Can my organization schedule another training?
Yes. WVW provides Mental Health First Aid training for organizations, teams, agencies, and community groups.
Request Organizational Training
Can I contact my WVW instructor with questions?
Yes. Learners may submit general follow-up questions through the WVW graduate-support form. The service is educational and does not provide therapy, diagnosis, emergency response, or individual clinical consultation.
